<p>Well, it looks like Malaysians will have something to look forward to as SpaceX had recently noted that their Starlink satellite Internet service in will be available in 32 different countries throughout the world in 2023. One of them being Malaysia!</p>
<p>Initially the internet service belonging to Elon Musk is supposed to be available here in 2022. In a post by Lowyat, they had enquired with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) if SpaceX had obtained the necessary regulatory operation approvals in Malaysia but had never got a response.</p>

<p>Just as most Malaysians were wondering about Starlink, Azmin Ali who is the Minister of International Trade had tweeted about the government&rsquo;s view on Starlink.</p>

<p>He is currently in the United States as he is on a trade talk tour where he&rsquo;s met representatives from Amazon and even Microsoft. As he goes to meet SpaceX, he was greeted by Andrew Matlock who is the Director of Commercial Sales alongside Jonathan Hofeller and Samuel Gibbs IV who are the Vice Presidents at Starlink.</p>
<p><strong>Now accepting orders from Malaysia</strong></p>

<p>Even before it&rsquo;s officially launched, those interested can already reserve their Starlink by placing a deposit of USD99 (~RM435) and it will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis. The system will work as long as the area is within its satellite coverage and will require a Network Facility or Service Provider license (NFP/NSP) from the MCMC.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>So, how much is it?</strong></p>

<p>If you&rsquo;re looking forward to Starlink, it&rsquo;s going to cost you quite a bit as the price had recently increased. The hardware alone cost USD599 (~RM2,638) and the monthly subscription fee cost USD110 (~RM485).</p>
<p>For the price, its expected that you&rsquo;ll get between 100 to 200 Mbps with latency as low as 20ms in most locations. This is possible thanks to their low orbit earth (LEO) satellites which revolves around at a much lower altitude compared to geostationary satellites.</p>
<p>All honesty, this is much better than the current ConnectMe satellite service by MEASAT. It does provide 100% coverage around Malaysia but has download speeds up to 30Mbps and a high ping of 500ms.</p>

<p>In my own personal opinion, only if you&rsquo;re in a more rural area where internet access can be limited, then yes, it would be worth the price, but you would probably want to share the cost among a few people, so it doesn&rsquo;t put a hole in your wallet.</p>
<p>But if you&rsquo;re still in the city like most of us, it would still make more sense to subscribe to the normal fibre packages from Maxis, Time or even Unifi as it is more cost effective and can provide higher speeds.</p>

<p>Everyone knows the struggle of finding parking in a shopping mall on a weekend.</p>
<p>But the one thing many Malaysians love is the convenience of how we have Touch &lsquo;n Go to pay for parking cause it&rsquo;s super convenient. Many of us now live in the era of cashless transactions and sometimes we don&rsquo;t even bring cash around with us anymore.</p>

<p>As jokes can be fun and all, TikTok user Ping Zhi Chuah took the opportunity to make a TikTok stating about the struggles of going to 1 Utama without small change.</p>

<p>Ping had no small change and used a RM20 note to pay for his parking and in return, rather than getting notes back, he received RM18 of change in 50 cent coins (which were all new and shiny). The TikToker showed his frustration in a joking way saying how he now has all the coins while holding it in his hand.</p>

<p>Off the get go, it&rsquo;s impressive that a non-Chinese person can confidently and fluently talk the language but as you can see in the video, even the uncle at the stall was also left in a state of shock when trying to communicate with him. <em>The man was too stunned to speak.</em></p>
<p>One possible reason why most of us wouldn&rsquo;t understand the language is due to the Grab driver speaking in a local dialect which only Sarawakians can understand or is because he really isn&rsquo;t talking in a mandarin?</p>

<p>Not too long ago, he had also gone viral when speaking Mandarin while at a motorcycle workshop. Although the Chinese man in the video didn&rsquo;t seem to understand what he&rsquo;s trying to say, his friends definitely had a good laugh as they were amazed at his speaking skills.</p>

<strong>Do many Malaysians speak a Chinese language?</strong></p>

<p>In Malaysia, Chinese languages vary from Mandarin to other dialects such as Cantonese, Hakka and Hokkien. These dialects may also further vary upon the state you live in and family upbringings. At the moment, there is around 22.4% of Chinese ethnicity living in Malaysia but it doesn&rsquo;t specificy how many of them could speak which language / dialects as some classify themselves as a &ldquo;banana&rdquo; (unable to speak ANY Chinese language / dialect).</p>

Netizens Stunned At Sarawakian Grab Rider Speaking Mandarin?

<p>If you ask Malaysians what do we all have in common, for sure someone will answer is that we all love to eat. No matter where you go, there&rsquo;s always something delicious to eat around the corner at almost any time of the day.</p>

<p>For those who didn&rsquo;t know, there is no cinemas at all in Kelantan and those who would want to watch a movie will need to head to Terengganu to do so. Ever since PAS ruled in 1990, the Lido Cinema along Jalan Pos Office Lama, Kota Bharu had closed down.</p>
<p>The best part of this whole issue is that Ahmad Fadli who is the Pasir Mas MP was also the man who had initially rejected the proposal to build a cinema in Kelantan back in 2016 due to cinemas being a source of maksiat (social ills).</p>

<p>Due to all the backlash, PAS Selangor Youth had stepped in to defend Ahmad Fadhli on Facebook. The only reason why he was at the cinema was due to him accepting the invitation to watch the new &ldquo;Mat Kilau&rdquo; film and wanted to show his support for it.</p>
<p>They also stated the cinema ban in Kelantan and watching movies in KL should be viewed as a separate matter and things like this should be judged in a fair manner. Meanwhile, they also stated that they still support the context of rejecting cinemas in Kelantan as the current day movies do not comply with the shariah and has loose regulations.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The triangular chocolate was produced in Bern, Switzerland which was established by the Tobler family factory in 1908.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, Toblerone will open a new production line in Slovakia by the end of the year as a response to the growing demand, as mentioned by the brand's owner, American food giant Mondelez International.&nbsp;</span></p>

They also produce Mika and Suchard chocolates at the production line launch in Slovakia. <p>For those who don&rsquo;t know much about Malaysian history, Mat Kilau is one of the most prominent Malay warriors who stood against British colonialism in Pahang at the end of the 19<sup>th</sup> century.</p>
<p>The British reaped the fruits of Pahang&rsquo;s land belonging to the Malays and interfered in the customs and religion of the locals. The British had also showed arrogance reign supreme in the land and Mat Kilau along side Tok Gajah (Imam Rasu) as well as other Pahang warriors such as Dato&rsquo; Bahaman and Mat Kelubi rose and fought against the colonialist.</p>
<p>Their fight had proven successful as the colonialists suffered pressure and lost.</p>
<p>In 1895, it was reported that he went &ldquo;missing&rdquo; and was allegedly killed on the Kelantan-Siam border. His &ldquo;body&rdquo; was &ldquo;buried&rdquo; in Kampung Bunut Payung, Kota Bharu, Kelantan in 1895 but it was only the beginning before he reappeared on 26 December 1969 in a mosque in Kampung Pulau Tawar, his home town.</p>

<p>But due to the tanjak being too tall or large, some couldn&rsquo;t watch the movie properly as it blocked their view. Some even had to ask netizens to put their tanjak down so they can enjoy the movie.</p>

"Mat Kilau" Breaks Malaysia’s Blockbusters After Raking In RM12.2 Million Over 4 Days

<p>Throughout the years, Netflix has released a number of successful shows, and it seems like this year is just as jam packed, with new and original series being released nonstop. As on June 24 2022, the first 6 episodes for the South Korean version of the Spanish heist drama was officially released, however with an entirely different storyline.</p>

<p>&lsquo;Money Heist: Korea- Joint Economic Area&rsquo; is an original Netflix series starring actors Yoo Jitae, Park Haesoo, Jeon Jongseo, Lee Hyunwoo, Lee Wonjong and Park Myunghoon. It is set in the same fictional universe as the original Spanish version, however it depicts a completely different narrative, making the series more of a crossover rather than a remake of the popular Spanish drama.</p>
<p>The first title announcement was first released in January 18 2022, with a thrilling video of the criminal mastermind, also known as &ldquo;The Professor&rdquo;, choosing between a variety of disguising masks, in which soon we discover that he will end up choosing the eye-catching Hahoe masks, a representative mask that all Korean citizens know, making it the ultimate mask suited for the project.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Many familiar aspects to the original &lsquo;Money Heist&rsquo; can still be found in the Korean series, as the main plotline still involves a mysterious criminal who recruits a group of thieves to help him rob a bank, however this time, it involves a hostage crisis situation happening in the now unified Korean Peninsula in the year of 2025, specifically in the Mint which is located in the Joint Economic Area (JEA), a &nbsp;common ground for both Korean jurisdictions.</p>
<p>Of course the series also maintained its original &lsquo;Money Heist&rsquo; characters, even going as far as maintaining some of their original physical and personality traits, however there are major evident alterations in the characters&rsquo; backgrounds in order to become more Koreanized.</p>

<p><span style="color: #e03e2d;">Yes, you read that right. </span>If you are a big fan of the series, or maybe even wondered how it feels like to be a part of a heist just like the one in the show, well now is your chance to actually experience it in real life.</p>
<p>Guests will then be welcomed into the building with an interactive character display and a suitcase filled with the classic red jumpsuit along its signature mask, in which then you will be briefed and taken through three different rooms, where you will be racing against time (30 minutes) to solve a treasure hunt, hack into the JEA system and solve hard puzzles to complete the game. Upon finishing the hunt, visitors will then gain access to the final vault room, which contains a large bed with abundant cash.</p>

Netflix’s Original Crossover “Money Heist: Korea” Is Officially Out

<p>Convocation ceremonies are highly important for all students and their families, and for all faculty and staff members as well. It is a time for celebration of all the academic accomplishments, to acknowledge the students for successfully completing their tiring journeys and finally getting their hard earned education degrees.</p>

<p>However, this big moment was particularly even more special and heart-warming for this 65-year-old mother, as she steps on stage on the behalf of her late daughter.</p>
<p>On Sunday, Cheng Lak Mooi was moved to tears as she hears the name of her late daughter Ng Yi Ming, who was called to posthumously receive her doctorate at the 23<sup>rd</sup> Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) convocation ceremony. The mother walks up on stage to accept her daughter&rsquo;s scroll from the Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin on the morning of June 26.</p>
<p><em>&ldquo;I am very happy to be able to fulfil the wishes of my late daughter to attend and receive the scroll on her behalf, ''</em> Cheng said.</p>

<p>Ng Yi Ming was awarded the PhD in Psychology from UMS, after previously obtaining her Bachelor of Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the same university, and her Master of Science in Child Development Psychology from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).</p>
<p><em>"She was a very diligent and very tenacious person. We are very proud of her as she managed to do well academically despite suffering from a heart condition," </em>Cheng said.</p>
<p>According to her mother, Ng Yi Ming had made her PhD presentation on January 21<sup>st</sup> 2021 and was given three months to correct her thesis, however she was not able to do so, as she took her last breath on February 21<sup>st</sup> 2021, after battling a heart condition called &lsquo;mitral valve prolapse&rsquo; for more than 20 years, and after undergoing a high-risk surgery in 2014, which led to her often suffering from heart palpitations.</p>

<p>The mother and the rest of Ng's family are extremely proud of her because despite facing poor health, Ng Yi Ming showed tenacity and high determination to complete her studies, and was able to attain high achievements.</p>
